Georgie A 10 month old male canary, he came to live here because his previous owner found out she was allergic to him. He lived in a tiny cage, though he did have lots of toys. Upon his arrival he moved into a huge cage, and discovered fruit and vegetables for the first time. |

Cinnamon Cinnamon is a female canary and arrived the day after Georgie, her original owners are unknown. She went into quarantine with Georgie and they have established a very close bond. Breeding between these will not be encouraged.
January 7th 2004. The canary is still oib his own, we did have someone who wanted to adopt him but he was so settled with the finches that we decided he might as well stay and just retire. He has a bit of a bad leg, and though it does not slow him down makes him look a bit strange. The finches take time to sit with him and its quite strange to see a huge yellow puff ball with the dinky Zebra's.
June 22nd 2005 Sadly we dont have any canaries, they are a very special and a very inteligent bird |

January 7th 2004 Well we have one more pearly who was called Poppy but upon arrival I saw that it was in fact a male so now goes by the name of Poppet. He does not share with the other two (Kringle & Jirdy) but he loves to sit with me and helps me type and do my work and studies so he gets plenty of interraction. He can be tempramental too, but its just part of who he is. Kringle & Jirdy are both doing fantastically well.
22nd June 2005 We dont have Kringle any more, but Jirdy & Poppet are having a great time, and are falling in love. They are quite chatty, and Jirdy will shout I love you". Awwwwwww. New pictures to follow |

31st July 2002 January 7th 2004 Little wing sadly passed away, but Wazz is doing great and is still full of attitude. I have been placing cages around him with other birds so that he can get used to them, because I am hoping that if we ever get an aviary up he will be able to share with some of the other birds.
June 22nd 2005
Wazz is doing great, his best friend the Kakariki & him are so funny together. More pictures to follow |
